My first earthquake in 15 years, it took me nearly two seconds on the second floor of a wood-construction single-family residence to realize that things were shaking (significantly) and that I was back in earthquake country  ... "The epicenter of the quake was at 33.940°N, 118.338°W, around 1 mile east of Lennox, 1 mile south by south-east from Inglewood, and 10 miles south by south west from the Los Angeles Civic Center, according to the US Geological survey. The rumbling lasted about 10 to 15 seconds and was also felt in the valleys. The depth of the epicenter was about 8.4 miles."
