Journal Musings & Notes
The Meridian Village shopping center is dying. PostNet closed 8 months ago right behind the Dinner's Ready meal preparation kitchen. On the left, Linens and Things closed just a year after opening. Circuit City closed a few weeks later. Behind this building, the toy sore has been closed since I moved here and Joe's Sporting Goods is also shutting down. The Oreck vacuum cleaner store moved elsewhere, probably to save on rent.   mar05_pan_meridian_village.jpg (533862 bytes)

Today, I am in a deep funk. Clinically depressed. Seeing this only reinforces my fear of staying in Bellingham; of in-action. I need to make that bold and dramatic, maybe irrational, move.

Another box arrived for Greg. His largesse is upsetting me. At a time when people are hurting and struggling, he continues to spend freely and "mail" it under my nose.

Errands. Attend practice county interview for LDES contract selection. Observe and comment only (post-field trip).

Value Village (recycled clothes and household goods) right behind here along with Goodwill and the Salvation Army stores are booming. mar05_118.jpg (253635 bytes) mar05_111.jpg (255836 bytes) mar05_112.jpg (247285 bytes) mar05_113.jpg (245326 bytes) mar05_114.jpg (250850 bytes) mar05_115.jpg (249695 bytes) mar05_116.jpg (255005 bytes) mar05_117.jpg (241191 bytes)
