Ensenada, Valle de Guadalupe wine country, Tecate, long mountainous road trip home through Julian and snow (and fog and wind and ...)
Fish farms above the cliffs.
Bienvenidos a Ensenada!
Wandering about in the car and rain from Farmacia to farmacia trying to find Bencoprim. Ugh! It was right there along at the Happy Farmacia right in the tourest quarter.
Valle de Guadalupe wine country, lots of road widening and general pavement improvement along Mex-3 between Ensenada & Tecate. Generally in great condition. But some horrid sections, too.
The border. I drove right in; no wait. Until Secondary. Again. Ugh! But even that was only 10 minutes. And no drama. Just couresty and respect between the participants.
Finally across the border, my adventuresome self decided to try several "shortcuts" through the hills using the San Diego Thomas Guide. oomph! What a mistake, losing several hours time before driving through rain, then sleet, then snow and fog via Julian to Highway 74 and the Coachella Valley. |
